Superdelegates are anti-democratic by function. That should be the beginning and the end of the conversation. I don’t think they are the reason Bernie lost but they shouldn’t exist.

Despite it not happening in 2016, there is actual rumblings now among party insiders that they would vote for another candidate if Sanders was the leading vote-getter. Hopefully, you will call that out if it happens.
