Oh, you are correct but those programs are accessible only to mostly elderly people and/or very poor people. There is a serious lack of universal programs that help all Americans.

And yes, the military-industrial complex is a big problem. Half of our income tax dollars go towards it, instead of things like education, energy, housing, and transportation.
