Great stuff. I've wanted to write something similar for a while but haven't found the words.

My Dad also loved to talk to strangers whether it be in line somewhere or to cashiers at the store. I have tried to continue that. I purposely avoid self-checkouts when I can and try to introduce different human interaction throughout my day.

It's sad we've lost a lot of community and how many people proudly proclaim they don't want to be bothered with other people. It's not healthy for a society.
