Another piece where irrational hate for Bernie Sanders leads to manipulating numbers to fit a conclusion they already have.

The fact is, people defect every election cycle to other candidates. There were many factors contributing to the defeat of Trump but Sanders voters flipping was the least of her problems.

Clinton’s favorability was the second-worst all-time, only behind Trump. She failed to campaign in Wisconsin once. She ignored Michigan until it was too late. She was under FBI investigation under a Democratic President. Russia interfered. She represented the status quo at a time where nobody wanted that.

To blame Bernie Sanders, a candidate who energized an entire new base of supporters is asinine. And to undercut his chances in 2020 like this is reckless. Hillary Clinton ran a bad campaign and wanted desperately to run against Donald Trump. She got her wish but not the desired result. How about we move on from childishly blaming the runner-up in the Democratic primary? Especially when that person traveled the country holding rallies for Clinton non-stop.
